Présentation

'The Possibilities', are well established in the international theatre repertoire; a series of ten pieces on irrationality and the limits of logic. The characters act against their own interests, but in doing so, both refine and complicate their humanity. Included in 'The Possibilities' are 'The Weaver's Ecstasy at the Discovery of New Colour': a family of Turks are weaving a rug and discover that human blood makes a brilliant new dye, but their ecstasy is short lived; 'The Necessity for Prostitution in Advanced Societies' - a dialogue on a delicate subject; 'Reasons for the Fall of Emperors' - the Emperor of Russia in the midst of conflict varies between compassion and brutality; 'Only Some Can Take the Strain' - a bookseller can protect his wares from the unworthy but not from the censors; 'She Sees the Argument But' - set in a socialist society where all should be equal but the beautiful woman is always different; 'Not Him' - a short brutal play about need and the lust provoked by war, where truth is incidental.
