Biographie Antonini
I trained as an a actress at the Laboratorio Nove school (Teatro della Limonaia) where I also started collaborating as an assistant director with Barbara Nativi in the productions of the theatre's company, and with that company I now work as an actress.
My first theatrical work was as an assistant director for a beautiful show from Jean-Luc Lagarce: "Les Regles du Savoir Vivre Dans la Societè Moderne", a very funny monologue that required a text analysis and translation work that I found very stimulating because it was my doorway into the author's writing and thinking in an apparently simple way.
My debut on stage (I'm still shaking!) was through a role that was funny and tragic at the same time: LINDA in Michel Tremblay's "Les Belles Soeurs", and then last year I was LULU in "Shopping and Fucking", a food-addicted schizoid character, well, chocolate-addicted, mostly.
I also took part of a EU master class, DRAMA IN SCENA, devoted to the training of professional actors, directors and dramaturgs through contemporary writing, and on that occasion I had my debut as a director with Michel Marc Bouchard's "Le Chemen des Pas Dangereuses" During the year I read loads of plays suggested by our Reading Committee, I study them and make staging hypothesis in order to help the theatre choose and produce them.
