Joris Lacoste Nouvelles révélations sur le jeune homme
direction Joris Lacoste & Séverine Batier

Presentation :

Raw fragments of the world, moments in a collective memory, real or imaginary places, recycled materials, familiar objects, proper names, voices: a young man dies. Ghosts, changing figures, faceless silhouettes, friends, lovers and unlikely brothers and sisters appear and disappear to recount their vague views of the boy, to shout in his ear, threats, reproaches and questions without answers which get lost in the chorus of the world's passing. He, "crossed by the faces and words of others", speaks only through others' mouths, exists only in the gaps, - and in his absence, perhaps something comes from the fact of being present.

There is (almost) no "performance", no "characters", no "situations", no "plot". Only the word made flesh, passing through bodies. Events, actions, appearances. Different voices criss-crossed like so many different points of view on what happens. Something like a perpetual coming-and-going between the collective and the individual, the formless and the form, non-acting and acting - a theatre of metamorphoses, a sort of mental ballet.
